Marcel Duchamp - Takes a more literal approach to the lost and found theme with his famous piece 'Fountain' 1917. He found a porcelain urinal, singed his name on it and called it art.
I do however like his minimal colour palette.
Just like Diane Arbus's minimal colour palette. I love how she is able to express so much emotion with her colour palette. Her photography is more in the direction I would like to go with the Lost and Found theme.
My own personal journey from being lost inside to finding myself, images that convey the emotions I felt during a difficult part of my life. From a state of loneliness and depression, on a journey to found and to belong.
' I really believe there are things nobody would see if I didn't photograph them'. Diane Arbus
I'm also influenced by Monet's Impression, Sunrise as I would like to create emphasis in my final pieces though the use of colour and saturation.
